Pomeranian puppies originated from Greenland sled dogs. Around the world, they sometimes are called Poms, Zwers or Toy German Spitz. Common health problems that these pups encounter are dislocated knee, Patent Ductus Arteriosus (a heart defect which causes an abnormal blood flow from the aorta and pulmonary artery) and damaged trachea.
