As much as I love having pets, that doesn’t mean every pet in the neighbourhood has open door privaleges to my home or garden.  I’ve had a number of pets in my home over the years, and I must admit I do become somewhat attached to them.  Our kids bugged us for years about getting a dog, and even though we reluctantly agreed, it’s been a pretty enjoyable experience for the most part.  But, there are times when I’d preferred that other peoples pets keep their distance.  One of my favorite past times, is going for long bicycle rides in the country.  I actually live withing the city, but within about five minutes, I can be biking down country roads.  Which is great, except for the dogs.  Farm folks have a tendency to leave their farm dogs to roam wild, and the dogs have a notion that chasing bikes is good fun.  And electronic dog repellent whistle comes in handy out there.

Cat, while not as aggressive can be a nuisance, especially around the garden and kids sandboxes.  You can get a cat repeller to take care of these critters, in a non harmful way.  The electronic noise making type are my favorite choices here.  They emit a sound that is inaudible to humans, but is annoying to cats and other small critters.  It’s a great way to keep others pets away from your gardens, and yards.
